About

Matthew Mosley

Founder & Master Woodworker

For Matthew Mosley, woodworking has always been more than a skill—it’s a lifelong pursuit of beauty, precision, and purpose. His journey began in 2007 when a simple curiosity for working with wood grew into a deep passion for design and craftsmanship. That passion led him to earn a degree in Fine Woodworking from the University of Rio Grande in Ohio, where he learned the discipline, patience, and attention to detail that define his work today.

After college, Matthew honed his craft as the manager of Santa Fe Doors, a high-end custom door shop in Albuquerque known for its intricate designs and meticulous finishes. In 2013, he returned to Amarillo to teach woodworking, sharing his knowledge and love for the trade with a new generation of makers.

In 2020, Mosley & Daughters was born—a dream realized and a family legacy in motion. What started as a small garage workshop has become a family-run studio built on integrity, craftsmanship, and the joy of creating something lasting. Matthew’s daughters often join him in the shop, learning the same values that shaped his journey: hard work, creativity, and care in every detail.

Each piece that leaves the Mosley & Daughters workshop carries more than wood and joinery, it carries the story of a craftsman devoted to his art, his family, and his community. For Matthew, woodworking is about building things that matter, both for the people who own them and the hands that make them.
